Game 6

This is good game if you enjoy mysteries and puzzles, but if you're a fan of action and fast-paced shooters, this won't work out for you. A first playthrough will take anywhere between 6 and 10 hours, but you can play another time for a chance for a different ending. Well worth the money becuase of the great story and befitting music.

A must see

If you aren't already, you should be watching Scrubs on Comedy Central and NBC. It is an absolutely amazing series that has been going on for 6 seasons. It's situational comedy that takes place in a hospital and follows the lives of four young doctors. Oh, and quite possibly, it has the best soundtrack ever created.

Song of Myself

1- Introduction
I exist as an implement of motion,
Always the procreation of the world,
All goes onward and outward, nothing collapses,
The nature of all things progresses,
I have no mockings or arguments, I witness and wait.

2- Learning
Endless unfolding of words of ages!

The scientific amalgam of properties alone is without flaw, it alone round and completes all,
That mystic baffling wonder alone completes all.

The gentlemen of science that teach these words create the linking books,
A psychic connection from one force to another.

Each is a reality, and I accept the reality and dare not question it,
But instead, substitute my own.

Within the age of learning,
I find one side a balance and the antipodal side a balance,
And one more fact of life,
Balanced systems stimulate civilizations.

3- Energy
I have heard the talk of the beginning and the end,
But I do not talk of the beginning or the end.

Never was there any more inception than there is now,
As the energy of the present is the energy of the future,
And the force of the past is also that of the present.

Lacks one lacks both, and the unseen is proved by the seen,
Till that becomes unseen and receives proof in its turn.

I am not satisfied with lack of energy, and I cannot live without it,
And the threat of perpetual standstill frightens even the most courageous of people,
When life halts forever.

I can say adamantly,
Energy powers future motion.

4- Nature
Life is a creation of nature,
The drawing of a background on a canvas,
The wet rocks on the shore, the green leaves on the tree, the echoes and ripples of the water,

the words of myself and the resonance of the wind.

Yet the rocks cannot be wet, the leaves not green without the water,
The water lack waves without the wind,
And I sustain myself with the water and food in nature.

I survive by experiencing nature, and though future expansion is necessary,
Nature is not forgotten,
And another truth reveals itself,
Nature encourages mutual dependence.

5- Dynamic Forces
Motion is not singular but dynamic, and one act always leads to another,
I watch the cycle of existence, slowly it completes.

The cycle begins and ends on me, I create and terminate it,
But it is never identical to the sequence before it.

I mold it to the form I choose, and watch it again one thousand times,
Only to achieve a different series,
And even more combinations of all actions in the ephemeral set.

Ultimately, the last conclusion is drawn from this,
Dynamic forces spur change.

6- Conclusion
The forces of the earth beneath me, above me, and all around me,
Are the path to the future, to change, and to a civilization impressively stable.

These forces tend inward to me, and I tend outward to them,
And such as it is to be of these more of less I am,
And of these one and all I weave the song of myself.

Game 5

Tales of Legendia

This game is an exceptional one. A compelling storyline, an intuitive battle system, and exciting plot twists make this game a must try. Once again, it is an rpg, so if you are not into that kind of thing, I suggest you don't buy it. Otherwise, you should. Legendia is actually one of my favorite games. One last note, it is a very long game, so don't expect to finish it without using at least 60 hours of your life.

Choices...

It is difficult to describe one emotion, without the aid of all the others. Detestation, anger, sadness, irritation, ennui, hate, fear, etc need one another to exist; they cannot lead a single existence. Without one, the other's significance is diminished. Additionally, these emotions need their opposites as well: happiness, joy, contentment, etc. Moreover, new emotions are being created that used to be unknown, such as shadenfreude, the emotion of taking pleasure in another's pain. And as I sit here, contemplating the many emotions for this assignment, I feel lost (not emotionally). I take a moment to search emotions on Wikipedia, and it gives a plethora of feelings. Some are good emotions, some are bad ones, some are ordered by severity, and some are in categories all their own. Once again, it is difficult to describe a single emotion. But you can probably guess what I'm feeling right now.

Game 4

Ico

I am making up for the lost time during the break, so here is another post. Three in one day makes a record for me. I really recommend this one, if you can ever get you hands on it. It's quite rare and often sells for over 120 dollars on the internet. I got it at gamestop, but it was their last copy at the time.

PS: There might be a hidden meaning to it.

What lies beyond the white board?

There is a white board. It has two markers and three erasers on its ledge. Words are written on the board. There are snowflakes on the border of the board. There is a sign that says "Ad majorem Dei Gloriam" on the top edge. Poe hangs from the board.

There is a dry-erase board at the front of the classroom. Markers and erasers sit on the ledge of the board, previously used to write on it. A snowflake border adorns the top of the board. The sign "Ad majorem Dei gloriam" (For the greater glory of God) is pinned to the wall above it. A small figure of Edgar Allan Poe hangs by a string from the boards hangars.

The dry-erase board hangs from the center of the front wall. The writing utensils lay on the ledge, hardly an hour after their usage. It was here that an English class was founded, and students were taught the rules of grammar. A complex snowflake border adorns the top of the board, representing the fast approaching winter holidays. The sign to which the students adhere lies above it and states "Ad majorem Dei gloriam" to symbolize that everything is done for the greater glory of God. Edgar Allan Poe, a writer with a grim outlook on life, symbolically hangs from the board.

Looking behind the obvouis, a beautiful scene lies before us. The board is a picture depicting a white winter. The people quietly sleep through the cold night. The only depictable items in the white world are a few trees with dark colored branches. Looking at it, one might see words formed by the branches, almost illuminated in the snow. The sky is filled with snowflakes, constantly adding the already enveloped world. This world is a utopia; a vast and uncorrupted land. All that is outside, is death. The beauty of it all is "Ad majorem Dei gloriam", for the greater glory of God.

Emerson Quote

"The voyage of the best ship is a zigzag line of a hundred tacks"
-- Ralph Waldo Emerson

Within Ralph Waldo Emerson work, "Self-Reliance", are his theories about nonconformity and individuality. The quote above is an excellent example of his work. First, the ship of which he speaks is actually a person, not the body but the spirit and mind. Normally (or Conformally), the ship (or person) takes the straightest route to a place, which is the fastest route. However, Emerson states that a zigzag pattern is necessary. I believe that his idea is truth. Emerson promotes individuality; however, he also proposes that a person must have experience in the world. The zigzag line indicates someone stopping at many different places before the destination, gaining experience that will help them during their voyage (essentially their life). In this way, the person learns from their past mistakes, thoughts, and feelings; therefore embettering the connection between everyone and everything.
